Looking to create a cold storage environment that is maintained at 28F (-2c) with minimal fluctuations in temperature.
Does anyone know of a way to accomplish this with chest freezers, a diy solution, or off the shelf equipment?

yeah google “adjustable storage freezer fridge” and you will find tons of options
Looking to do an experiment with overwintering nursery plants this is why the temperature can’t swing much like in a traditional freezer
Check out CoolBot!
The coolbot is really just the temperature regulation unit, I would say that depends on the air conditioning unit you use itself - for prolonged amounts of time you’re more worried about the condenser fins freezing up which the coolbot has a small probe for to tell if it is so it’ll kill power for a bit until the fins defrost then kick back in but it will be more useful for prolonged storage vs. a quick and dirty cold room
