Has anyone ordered and pressure tested the metaglas clones offered on alibaba?

Is their performance comparable to the overpriced version sold ny BVV?

pretty sure BVV is from china as well. same with glaciertanks they use the same chinese manufacturer we called both on backordered parts and they come in the exact same day.

I have pressure tested @Killa12345 glass to 150psi if that helps. :man_shrugging:

You can probably only do that once. China uses mostly a blend of soda lime in thier boro recipe. I have pics on one of my computer’s from a while ago with the same affordable china glass that’s been tested, maybe even thicker versions - that customers sent me pics of imploded flasks and damaged glass.

It’s just a roll of the dice with import glass really. The question is do you want to be the guy who has glass shards thrown in his face, and of even severe burns?

I definitely wouldnt recommend others do the same due to the level of “quality control” adhered to by most chinese companies, but im about to roll those dice myself.
