They also homogenize tissue, muscle and bone which are more viscous than your gel !!!
So since you have proclaimed yourself the king of homogenizer’s tell me why the cat scientific is the better homogenizer. Don’t give me this crap about being German Engineered I want to know specifics.
Instead of a post with a slot cut out of it spinning in a tube with slots cut into it, it is a machined and lathed instrument. The rotor is two blades that offer less resistance with distillate, cutting thru it like propeller blades. The stator is a tube with slots cut into the side, but with a round bottom to not break fragile bell jars.
The probe does not run material through it, so if you accidentally run without cleaning, you break a 9 dollar spring instead of a $200 shaft.
The Scilogex is also machined and lathed so lets drop that argument. Also I dislike the 2 propeller design because to me that design would create more of a whirlpooling vortex motion while the multi slotted design would create a vacuum that would keep your solution suspended longer giving you a more through mix.
The specifics I seek are about their 2000.00 dollar plus x-1000 which is a 1000watt stator motor and has more power than the bvv 500 but I’m only mixing about 250ml not 10L and if I were mixing 10L a week I would be using a 3000 watt stator motor. Like I said I’m a small azz hobbyist at the moment might I add. In short the bvv500 fits within my budget and in the future I need a bigger homogenizer I can use the bvv500 for test batches
@goldleaf_scientific can you add some worth while information to this conversation. 1st I believe what qma is referring to when he said 2 blades cutting through like propeller blades is actual a knife rotor? I can not find any rotors that fit the blade description. 2nd I can not find this 9.00 spring that prevents the shaft from breaking. Does this feature exist on the XD-1000. Lastly is your price’s correct on your website? The XD-1000 is 829.00 the homogenizer shaft 363.00 and the stand for 125.00 for a grand total of 1317.00 usd?
HonestlyThedawg , im not sure what you want. There is no air under the surface of the homogenizer, it draws from under it. Distillate seizes up moving parts. I never declared myself king of anything, in fact I think the king title is rather goofy outside a martial setting.
You asked me what I thought just to argue. I have used both homogenizers in question. @Killa12345 would watch me get pissed the fuck off with my slot rotor homogenizer. Its better than a mag mixer but it is multipurpose and not perfectly suited for the task at hand.
Future edit for clarification:
Goldleaf scientific cannot help you, they don’t know anything about this equipment and I am not assisting any more of their customers because they are absolute scum bags.
I’m still learning this stuff so I’ll do my best and confirm the info with the factory.
I’m not exactly sure which dispersing shaft he’s referring to but there is a “knife” option. It is more suited to tearing a breaking apart fibrous materials.
Not sure what spring you are referring to. Point me in the right direction.
Pricing should be correct, but if I setup a quote for you I’ll cross check everything and confirm.
The selection guide is below
G series with a high viscosity material generator. Only the stator and generator need to be removed for cleaning. The ceramic donut needs to be lubricated with c8 to avoid burning material. The silicone oring should be replaced with a ptfe oring.
The t shafts are unsealed, making them more delicate. The entire inner probe needs to be detached for cleaning. If you end up offering the t-series, it has no advantage over a scrilogex.
Later edit: Sidco, this is an example of me helping this vendor build this particular part of his business. This vendor burned me with referals, and after I started selling the same equipment, this vendor tried every trick in the book to push me out. This vendor knows nothing about this product, and when I snap on him you can now see why. It wasnt about shilling, it was about me literally building forum members money makers and getting tried like some custy. This is why I contribute less and less
I ask you for specifics on why you liked the X-1000 over the D-500 only after you interjected yourself into my inquiry to Sido_cat to bring in some knowledgeable people in the field of Homogenization to answer some questions I had.
Also you still havent cleared up the propeller blade probe with the spring comment?
What probe are you talking about and where’s the spring?
The rotor is two blades that offer less resistance with distillate, cutting thru it like propeller blades.
The probe does not run material through it, so if you accidentally run without cleaning, you break a 9 dollar spring instead of a $200 shaft.
In short this conversation is over as Goldleaf Scientific has answered my questions and an order has been placed
I’m curious, why are you offering a product you know nothing about? The only thing you’ve showed the community is that you’re an expert on how to copy and paste!
@CATScientific while your hear can you explain what set’s the XD-1000 apart from the D-500? Other that the 500 extra wattage? Also Is the G20/V the proper combination for homogenizing thc oils?
That’s ok. I never claimed to be an expert, but I can easily forward any questions to the factory and get an official answer. After doing that a few times along with some extra reading I’ll get things down. I don’t think Rose Scientific is adding anything more than us and charges way over list on almost every item. Taken together with their poor website they are basically killing the brand.
Honestly I would rather focus my energy elsewhere so if every single interaction with you wasn’t a negative experience I would have happily given you a very nice commission on sales and let you continue to support the line.
just get in contact with @qma and offer him a discount on shafts for his customer service on demand. Im sure he would be happy to work with you as he probably need replacement parts and such… Im sure you could even work out a deal for him to put them on his website too. you guys would make a good pairing.
I confused your tone homie. Thats the parts you want to see
Note: this was a horrible idea, I ended up sending free components to goldleaf scientifics customers, as they kept directing their customers to us for support after we started selling these. If you are ever considering working with gold leaf scientific, don’t. They are a terrible company.
