CBN jars breaking

Hello I have a simple question, we have jars of CBN that continually break inside our Thermo Fisher oven.

We deal with hundreds of jars, and the only jars that ever break are the CBN ones. We have tried different jars.

While heating in a 90* oven the CBN jars crack and break.

Is there anything specific with CBN that can cause this?

I agree, just wondering why only the CBN is breaking, not the CBD, not the THC ETC.

Only CBN…

Any ideas ?

Do the jars tend to break nearer the bottom than the top?

One hypothesis:
CBN has a higher temperature expansion coefficient than other cannabinoids, which means it expands faster as it heats up.

If so, heating slower might mitigate this. Go to 40, then 50, then 60… up to your target temp.

Or switch to stainless. Or much thicker glass.

@Lincoln20XX is right on the money with this one.

We have GL180 bottles of CBN and CBG bust in the hot baths pretty regularly while they’re heating up, especially if they’re full or have recrystallized in the bottles

Dump into stainless seems like a simple solution

If there are crystals in at the botom
It to do with heat transfer of solids compared to liquids
DON t ever trow salt in a hot flask on a heating device it will pop the botom out even Pyrex glass
Are your jars on the very bottom yust under the heating elements then realize that most are pid controled on-off
But the temperature is measured somewhere half way
The botom can get very hot when the oven is on althou the rest is warm
