CBD Tincture/Best carrier?

Pretty novice question, so my apologies…but wondering what the opinions are for turning CBD from ethanol extraction into a tincture. I see Charlotte’s Web uses “fractionated coconut oil.” I see a lot of hemp seed and MCT oil, as well. I do see less in alcohol in my neck of the woods and was thinking alcohol might differentiate my product. If I go with alcohol, will the effectiveness be altered by the proof…do I need to use grain or 151, or can I use something more palatable like Tito’s and get the same effect. Thanks in advance!

Fractionated coconut oil and MCT oil are the same thing as far as i know. I like using MCT with distillate or isolate. When i use winterized and de-carbed crude oil i usually use hemp seed oil as the carrier. Hemp seed oil is also a little cheaper per oz than MCT. Nutiva is a good suplier of both!

Thanks, KY! No opinion or experience using alcohol?

I work really hard to ensure that all my oil is free of all solvents so the thought of adding some liquor store bought stuff back to it makes me shudder a little. Check the laws on that too i think for final products you have to be under a certain percentage of alcohol before the ATF ,DEA, FDA or what ever 3 letter agency controls that. Not sure what the percentage was but i think it was fairly low. Worth looking into if you’re going into retail
