What is your reasoning from staying away from pg? Id say that is much safer and more tested to vape than MCT, being that its in every nic vape.
Nothing particularly, it’s just that a local pharmacy sells VG and makes it easy to access.
Thanks for that advice! I wasn’t aware isolate could melt. I did a quick double-boil set-up and the CBD isolate melted in a few seconds. I re-mixed the cart with that.
I have CBD tinctures and RSOs already; I figured this would be an interesting opportunity to make my own cart.
No. Don’t do this.
We don’t even worry about the crystallization and include a note to our customers to warm it up. Good hardware can handle a bit of crystallization. I’m gonna check out the cbda trick though.
You don’t need MCT or a thinner PERIOD. Heat your isolate, add terps and blend and add to cart. When it crystallizes put it in a sandwich bag and put it under a hot faucet for two minutes. That’s all there is to it.
because they are designed for GAS EXCHANGE!!
no seriously. this is important. you’ve heard of people who tried supplying liquid water to their lungs. they drowned!! what makes you think MCT is gonna work better?
that certainly explains some of the issue here. you might want to start with some basic chemistry classes then…
there are somethings that don’t melt, and go directly from solid to gas, but even those can be made to melt if the pressure is adjusted appropriately.

when I tell you that cannabinoids are not particularly soluble in glycerol, I’m not just pulling that out my ass
so using the chart above, tell us how much CBD you actually got into that nominal 1g cart? what could you achieve with PG?
except 5000x less soluble doesn’t make your CBD particularly easy to access…
I have a feeling this person is trolling at this point or is just very stubborn
for such a new account they sure do have how to f4.2k figured out
I obtained some PG; CBD isolate definitely dissolves in it much easier. I used just PG (no VG) and it doesn’t seem to leak through the cart I’m using.
Lets say I’m adding the isolate to about a tablespoon amount of PG without measuring the isolate. Is there an obvious point of there being “too much” isolate and if so, would it be apparent while mixing, or is it when it crystalizes later?
The solubility of CBD in PG is pretty low, it is not much above 2% at room temperature. And it is nearly insoluble in VG.
