CBD Distillate delivered in plastic bottle -_-

I just received a liter of CBD distillate that I was very excited for. Only to find out that It was delivered in a plastic container. On top of that is is not the consistency of distillate. The jar is filled with opaque wax that looks like it has crystalized/buttered up. I have no idea how to use this. I have already contacted the supplier as I already told them that I needed this to make carts and am now stuck with something that I cannot use. Has anyone else have any experience with this? A quick google search will show a unanimous belief in glass over plastic. Cant seem to find anyone who has seen this. Very confusing.

Any help appreciated.

There’s still money in CBD carts?

Sorry it didn’t come how you wanted it. Hard market to please at such low profit.

cbd distillate crystallizes readily. anything above around 40% cbd will

You need CRD or “Crystal Resistant Distillate” for CBD vapes.

mother liquor makes decent vapes. too bad its illegal to sell without remediation

CBD distillate above 60% CBD will do that whether you want it to or not.

Plastic bottle aside, you got CBD distillate.

Figuring out how to make that work in a cart is now a question of reading, buying a clue, or waiting for some kind soul to point you in the right direction.

The search bar is your friend. CRD or “crystal resistant distillate” might be worthwhile queries.

Edit: looks like you got all that while I was typing

Happy to help you out in the future with any ingredients you may need. Definitely use the search bar for research purposes to see what difficulties other people have had and what solutions helped them out of a bind. Its all about the ingredients

heres a free spoon.

look for other hemp derived cannabinoids that don’t co crystalize.
CBT is one of them

don’t use MCT please

So if I heat and mix it in with another cannabinoid keeping the amount of CBD distillate under 40% it shouldn’t crystalize?

Understood. Would mixing it with a more consistent cannabinoid keep it from crystalizing like others are saying?

if the other cannabinoid (or cannabinoids) don’t co crystalize

CBDa apparently doesn’t crystalize readily either.

enough spoons. use search

What on earth is a “more consistent cannabinoid”?

Shipping in plastic makes for far fewer “it broke in the mail” complaints. Imagine you had received a shattered mason jar…

If this is your business plan, you might should have figured these bits out first. If this is for you? It will absolutely work in a cart. You just need to warm it up a bit every now and then.

And unlike crystallized thca in a (live resin) cart, it won’t decarb and pressurize the cart if you get over-exuberant “warming” it with a torch

And it like, melted all over the box it came in then usps calls asking a few questions…

This is how our supplier always sends it to us despite many requests otherwise. Still stick with them because great product + people.

DM me your name & number and I will call & help you work through this. I was in your position 1 yr ago, including the crystallization issues / questions.

Depending on the type of plastic, there is not anything in CBD distillate that would degrade the plastic in short term storage at or below room temperature. Many pure terpenes are even shipped in plastic jugs as they are compatible with most plastics (the ones used for food grade materials, at least). I personally wouldn’t store anything in plastic (or even aluminum) long term, but for shipping you’re not going to have any real cause for concern with a solvent-free cannabinoid. The very few terpenoids that get carried over with cannabinoids in a properly made distillate are compatible with most plastics that would be used in this context.

Over the years I’ve received noids in 5 gallon buckets, media bottles, vac sealed bags, hdpe jugs, the list goes on and on.

If your lab can’t accommodate packaging disty into something you want to receive it in that’s kind of shitty imo.

I’ve only ever shipped in mason jars and I’ve never had a single jar break. It’s easy to package things well and it’s a whole lot better for the receiving party to get everything out of glass. A lab saying they can’t put things in glass for me is a red flag. Not willing to go to Walmart to grab some ball jars and bubble wrap is lame if your paying a few gs for something

I don’t think anyone.mentioned it yet, but a hot water bath will be your friend for getting that crystallized disty back out of that plastic.
