Cascade Sciences Diamond Miner(s) Brand New

In 2018 I couldn’t build these fast enough at $1,300 a pop. Different market, different times. Tek has increased and scaled since then and for the better. But 4 short years ago, these were the shit, and no one minded the price. At that time, these were magic machines.

Sure. And that’s the way to live your best life.

I am not seeing the personal attack, unless you’re referring to Prodigyprocessing calling the act of purchasing these “getting jugged”

Because yeah, whoever buys these has been scammed. If that’s a personal attack, I’ll invite you to consider that a calm reflection on her business strategy and pricing

Oy! how do I message you?

I’ve said my piece.

More power to our successful friends and their ingenious off the shelf designs. I’m probably just bitter I have something in me that says no to selling cheap china steel for 10x the shelf price. It’s not greed, it’s genius to leverage a social media presence to sell cheap crap for 10 times the price.

I see what you’re saying. Heck, do you know that I pay $45 for a nice steak meal that would cost me $9 if I cooked it at home? That isn’t me being ripped off. That is me appreciating the service. That is how markets work and get better. The first guy has a great idea and charges a lot because it is novel, and the next guy innovates and figures out how to do it better and faster. The price comes down and everyone has to be competitive. That’s exactly the way it should work.

I honestly don’t even see how price gouging on something so simple is necessarily bad. If someone cannot take one look at the unit and not replicate it with a slamazon order and a few fleabay items, then they have every right to pay out the ass for it… I respect the hustle!

ooph. That surely isn’t what it felt like at the time. It felt awesome to get people set up with completely new tek that advanced their brands. These things paid for themselves halfway through the first run back then.

I resonate with your sentiment. When I think about how much we pay for prescriptions, or dentistry or eyeglasses . . . it makes me crazy for all the reasons you mention. While I still have referral agreements with a number of companies, I intentionally got out of the equipment game over a year ago. It got to the point that every time I wrote an invoice, I just wondered how long before I saw that suite of equipment on this forum for sale. If you knew how many people I have discouraged from buying equipment, you wouldn’t think me much of a sales person at all.

this thread is indicative of where we are today. There is a ton of new equipment out there that never made it into production because the deal fell apart before implementation. I know more than a few folks who have containers and warehouses full of it, just waiting for an opportunity. In my estimation, the industry needs information and consumables more than it needs equipment.

@Medicinemanhempco at what point does hustle turn into a scam?

As a consultant she does not have the clients best interests in mind. She takes people who don’t know any better for a financial ride in the name of kickbacks and commissions.

Non Itemized invoices.
$40,000 for two freezers for Fresh Frozen.
$5000 for training that never happened.
$10000 + for pressure vessels that are illegal in the city of operation.

If that’s not taking advantage of an 80 year old man who believed in her as a reputable service provider - I don’t know what is.

The above statements are factual. And can be backed up with paperwork.

Who just blindly follows what a “consultant” says without checking their work? I could easily show you how to spend 55k bro! Sign right here on this dotted line, we’ll get you taken care of! I’m not saying he didn’t get taken for a ride. I just think that no one is gonna watch your money or your back for you better than you can. It’s really easy to blame others when they lead you astray. Ultimately it is down to the business owner or operators to decide if those “consulted decisions” are the correct ones. If it wasn’t her taking him for a ride, who else would it be?

This didn’t age well. Due to inflation over the last 37 minutes, that steak meal is now $20 if I buy it myself and I can’t afford a restaurant.

Heard that from more than a few from the consulting services.

Talking out my ass again

Honestly that person/consultant is an asshole for not having their client in their best interest.

In any other industry that would lead to arbitration or a legal suit.

It’s a consultants fiduciary duty to have its clients best interests in mind.

If that consultant is reading this, you’re a POS for taking advantage of an older person in this world for your own financial gain.

Refund them their consulting fee if you never had to provide them services.

Learn how to actually work, for your income. Not scam people Into your horrible business practices.

Whether or not those clauses are in your contracts, you’re literally the scum of this world for charging for services that were never provided.

@Sidco_Cat it’s your choice to tip and return to a restaurant. You can also go to a much more affordable restaurant to purchase food. You can go on Google or yelp to see the restaurants reviews and price ratings.

Tbh @Future (Dustin), I am quite disappointed we can’t ‘rate’ members here who call themselves reputable consultants. Exposing the truth should be a priority.

With consultants we can’t ‘get a taste’ of them before knowing whether to commit to them or not. Most make it ‘all or nothing’ which is jack shit tbh.

I have helped over a dozen people on this forum with $100’s of thousands of IP I willingly share, in hopes they will retain my services.

Scum like the one being chatted about is WHY SO MANY are skeptical as to whether or not services being paid for are worth it or not.

and provide so much value that both parties feel good about the exchange. Full stop

I mean, in a perfect world, yes. But how often does it go that way? Guess it depends on the consultant :upside_down_face:

You are absolutely correct that bad actors mess this up for all of us. It is the same way that sloppy labs, dirty product, shady deals and trespass grows in the forest are bad for everyone. The worst actor is always the one who makes the news.

And how do you propose it should be done?.. Because we all know there are a bunch of different small or large feuds between a bunch of people here (take for instance if KingOfTheKush was to rate you and his word counted you would be kicked out and vice versa I believe (obviously I’m not taking sides here)) who is the arbiter of truth? Unfortunately it’s up to each and everyone of us to do our due diligence before spending money. Although having said all of that, if there is someone that is unanimously hailed as a bad actor they should be blacklisted here.

Original complaint should be hidden, but visible by looking at the history of edits. Admin should note the change as well.
