I’ve got some shares of Google, Apple, Amazon, and over 200 other companies… And I wouldn’t consider myself an “owner” of any of them. I don’t even LIKE several of them nor do I advise folks to purchase things from them. I spoke of the fraction of CC equity I have in the interest of transparency, but it means absolutely nothing when it comes to my preferences or bias. We are all free to support people, companies, causes or ideas we feel are worthy. Surely, this all (normally) goes without saying… but here we are.

A post was split to a new topic: I ran out of flags for the off topic nonsense of these two flirting. I heard they want to dock then peg each other. You guys gunna fuck, or what? It’s getting annoying

Would seem like a real bad investment strategy. Especially when most stock prices are directly correlated with earnings.

I absolutely hate apple and don’t ever recommend it to anyone

But all the yuppies flock to it and it’s stock is very appealing even to an apple hater like myself

I personally only like to invest in companies and people I really believe in. It would seem weird to invest into things I hate but I guess people do it all the time.

But to get this back on track. Have you guys seen my carbon chemistry prices compared to some of your favorite vendors??? :joy::rofl::joy:

That’s precisely my point, @Joey760 ! I see no reason for my personal bias (whether I like or dislike a company’s practices from a moral perspective) to interfere with my investment choices or strategy. The way I look at it, the company will not be significantly impacted one way or another by a few shares being bought or sold by me, regardless of whether or not I personally hope for the company’s success. To believe otherwise is folly… unless of course you’re a “JP Mogul” buying & selling millions of other companies’ shares!

There is a huge difference between owning public and owning private stock. Private stock ownership means direct involvement with the company

That’s true, I guess. I see your point with regard to more involvement in private companies, usually.
