Cannabinoids for early onset dementia?

, ,

Seriously though, adding some psylocybin to that mix would probably be a good combo.

That product really works well for focus but I hardly take it anymore because I found that it was a catalyst for bad headaches… no clinical data to back that up, just noticed that when I take it I’m much more susceptible to getting a migraine.

Anyone know what that might be about?

Thank you for the responses everyone, I’ll definitely pass along the info and they will try a couple of these.

Unrelated: Who has a good white label medicinal mushrooms supplement company? For chaga, lions mane, etc.

Or how would you go about adding a product like this to a current sku?

@EloquentSolution was giving her mom with late stage Alzheimer’s like 300mg-500mg of THC orally and had some interesting results.

yeah wouldn’t be hard to add Mushrooms to current skus. tinctures or pills or gummies or any number of various forms of administration.

the thought of a thcv + cordycepsin gummy.

Get some $$ for your expertise

Lots of elderly folks with dementia and alzheimers see good results from vastly increasing their fat consumption.

I got my 90 year old grandma on MCT caps, it helped her dramatically

Dale Bredesen’s protocol is intriguing.

Cannabinoids can definitely have drug-to-drug interactions. Do your research, and find a doctor that is willing to work with/educate you on the patient’s opportunity cost of adjusting or removing medications to accommodate cannabinoid additions. This should be a long-term collaborative effort between all three parties.

Good luck to everyone dealing with this.

Is there a reference book for what drugs interact with cannabinoids? Could be useful to have on hand in my store, although surely a grey area at best, probably could not be used routinely

I have a friend who is a pharmacist at cvs and she said they can easily lookup what drugs shouldn’t be mixed from behind the counter

That’s cheating. A REAL pharmacist knows all 3,386,467,298 drug interactions by heart

On a more serious note:

I don’t think such a thing exists yet, Cannabinoids are too poorly understood at the pharmacological level to even remotely allow any predictions outside of any obvious things like effect on intraocular pressure, heart rate or body temperature.

Ipamorelin is actually one of the better GHRPs out there.

What’s even more interesting for cognitive improvement is MK-677. It’s a growth hormone secretagogue. Only issues with it are it increases hunger. I was known to raid the kitchen in my sleep while taking it. Honestly the deepest most refreshing sleep of my life.

Quick Google scholar search yielded reports on cognitive benefits. Doesn’t specifically list Alzheimer’s but mentions cognitive benefits from MK677.

I know it’s not cannabis but i had my father use a similar compound after a serious motorcycle accident late in life. Really sped recovery and made him seems ā€œquickerā€. Super subjective i know but it definitely gave me something to think about.
