Bvv "Stainless Steel Dutch Weave Sintered Filter Disk"?

Thank you @cyclopath

Yeah that’s exactly what I planned on doing. Using my 3x3 crc column with vacuum to filter some etho mixture for SPD. I have a 5um sinistered disk and 1um stacked. I may experiment with some media if the color is off. Would be my first time running SPD. Just wanna get the filtration down before I get to distilling anything.

Thank you for you experiment @GroovyOctopusLabs

I think you need to mod your base a certain way with a dip stick and a bidirectional port on the bottom.

It’s been a few years

Wait let me go thread hunting I know @cyclopath gave me the answer before

Indeed.

Lol. You out the game now-a-days?? Or just don’t distill anymore?

Cool. I’m pretty sure my rig has a tube that goes down into the collection but I don’t think it’s a dip tube that goes all the way down. I’m sure I can figure out a way where I won’t risk sucking up any solvent with the vac. My ports are on the top of the collection top. It’s been awhile since I’ve broken it out of the closet

it’s been like 3-4 years. I needed to give up dabs for a bit. Also, too many panic attacks during making them and fucking up pressure testing too mnay times and got frustrated because I didn’t pressure test the day before a few times and got just enough dry ice for extracting the day of exctracting and just really annoyed.

Plus, every time I was offered flower I was getting more high than the dabs. So, I just figured who leaf was the way for a while but now after a few years and I realize I like weed that tasted exactly like dabs (sugar shack #5 and Alien Mints) and now that there’s better diamond making equipment and stands are affordable now…

:octopus: :point_up:I never sold anything I made everything I ever made was all personal use/medical use for my autism.

I was getting a lot of material for cheap and that was the other problem. I was getting black nugs and overgrowth with a lot of debris like blunt wraps and grasshoppers in it.

I got sick of playing quality control, breaking out the face mask, gloves and bags to place the material to be used vs to be discarded.

I don’t have a good grow set-up either.

500$/# of actual fire once month is where the sweet spot would be. Not wet material either. I was getting fire but it was too fresh and wet for 800$/# at one point.

… Making dabs for personal use is hard if your material isn’t great.

Shit In>Shit Out

When you get to the EHO very light , nice and clear…the problem is how much water do you have as the ETOH is a very good solvent for the residual water in the dried material which is 8% plus or minus water…so starting with 95% ETOH …now what % do you have?
The water/ETOH ratio not only has a pH value (effective) but the pKa of the Carboxyl is controlled by the value of this ratio. ( It is variable between 2-5) Of course if you have previously decarbed the biomass…you have a different situation.
It is polar protic.

Never used a water meter or tested anything Idk.

I feel you. Totally understandable… Sounds frustrating getting bad quality flower. I still have all of my closed loop I just hardly ever use it anymore seeing as I’m living in a condo. Would rather not risk it so I’m just gonna wait until I have a house to start back up extracting anything with tane/pane. Yeah Ive been growing the past 3-4 years so I just want to repurpose the old nugs I have and trim that isn’t being utilized. I’ve got a decent setup. 2 5x5s that I flower in and a 2x4 for my 2 moms. I actually don’t even smoke anymore. Was dabbing way too much myself so decided to give it all a break. Going on a year THC free. I just keep it around for my family and brother.

I also never invested in a CRC before the recession so I feel like I kinda fucked myself when I was buying #'s.

my problem with growing is I have 0% chill on growing small plants and by the time I force the flowering the plant is already 4’ tall with a shit load of branches and flowering sites. I love growing I just always fail once I hit flowering.

I was gonna get into hydroponics but it didn’t pan out because my light broke and I decided I need to just stop for a while and start planning out for the future a little more.

I didn’t know until way later after I stopped growing that most of the plants use 1/2 their energy and root room in flowering. If I had known that I would’ve been more systematic with it all.

I love the act of growing weed. It’s the only plant that makes me feel like I am truly doing something good for the world when I grow it. I loooooooooooooove it.
