Where are you/equipment located?
While I’m sure it’s not usually that much,
Granted there are a lot of factors but for someone small like me who planned to extract and distill at the farm, it would require a new location, with insurance, as well as establishing compliance systems and waiting up to 6 months to be verified as compliant. I won’t pretend to know exactly how much it costs but my lawyer pretty much told me that I can pretty much drop the idea of processing post harvest unless I’m willing to drop 40k.
I’ve seen other places say it’s a lot less but the price differential between biomass and what it comes out to in distillate isn’t really worth it for me to invest like that, being as I only plan on growing 10k plants or less.
