well we will find out w2 on the way!

what’s suggested for w3 use

Depending on the filtration you are using, you shouldn’t have to regulate flow. Going from 20(paper for clean up)/5 micron disc/2-1 micron /then 0.2. You can regulate the flow that way and not need to throttle your valves.

I put the paper above my disc to make cleanup easier, doesn’t change the flow rate at all. Seeing how going through most media is deeper filtration than 20~ micron.

Are you still stocking the amorphous silica, or did you find a different kitty litter?

The one i got is an attapulgite clay. I believe i got the middle size of the 3 options they offer.

I’d give it a whirl and try some

Below the 5micron sintered disk are you using 1 and .2 filter papers or additional sintered disks?

The 0.2 is a disc

Hi I’m currently using Media from Luna. I was wondering what other vendors are out there. I have already contacted Media bros and Luna tech. Please kindly assist thank you.

I’m not an expert by any means. Media Bros is great. I have seen the best results with Chemtek W-1, although I was reading that different input factors give various results in the final product.

Can someone with more experience please chime in here?

Media bro’s is a good media, it needs a very capable extract artist at the helm. The course grind makes for a new set of challenges. Move through it to quick and your shit out of luck. You need to go slooooow!

Input makes the difference

If running fire - w1 or b80 (if w1 is to expensive for yah). B80 will still turn out some fire, but the terp preservation from w1 to b80 is quite astonishing.

@bigoilco
Chemtek w1
ph of 3
hands down best but expensive… best to run fire with, also great for crystallization

B80
ph of 7
Great for everything, especially shatter

Perform 6000
ph of 3
For lesser quality oil, seems to strip flavonoids

T5 and silica
This one takes time to get the mix right

I have wanted to ask this for weeks but didnt have the courage, i thought i would be attacked with spoons.

What about CRX - CRY ? @FicklePickle
I have been offered a sample but just need to pay the postage. ( its on next months budget )

Crx is a good media, the course grind can be a real pain at first though. Never tried it with fire going in. So I can’t provide any insight on quality of the extract from the media (smokewise).

CRY media has more silica in it. This would be great for really terrible bio. I’m going to try some CRY today and will show you a picture
