Blue color in media after heating

We left our media baking under vac and heat overnight and today there is a layer of blue on top of the media. anyone have an idea what this could be?

I’d think it’s oxidation but this is just weird. Never used before? What heat and vac level?

A dirty oven and most likely to high of temps
125C is sufficient under vac

Oven is clean and was baked at 115c

Looks like a convection oven from the picture, do you have a vacuum oven to dry in the absence of oxygen?

it’s an older AI vacuum oven

It happens. Just scrape the blue and use the rest

is it possible that the b80 is partially dryed? It could be the fact that the top is dry and underneath it is not.

under vac it would be hard to oxidize.

clay is colored here so i assume it’s something that happens when dry

I just woke up to this. Has there been any new conclusions on this???

I usually get a slight color change on a very thin layer on my B80 aftee baking at 150f at half a vacuum. It is a slight grey, and while noticeable, was never concerning. I just assumed there could have been some oxidation. I’ve never seen anything like the pictures.

looks like my powders after there used a lil

Same. Last time I baked them covered with tinfoil and holes poked in it and it didn’t happen, but this time just open and that’s the result

i bake at 250f in open standard oven never seen anything like it

i wonder what woukd happen if u used it
