Definitely, IMO its better to have a single stage size reduction step as the more times it gets handled/moved and ground up the more fines are created, for those of us doing ethanol extraction a ton of fines are counterproductive as they blind/clog filters without giving us any extra yield. I don’t think the plastic guys really have to worry about fines for what they’re doing, plastic waste isn’t nearly as friable as our hemp biomass is.
That’s a really good point.
Lovely word that. Nice to see it used in a sentence again…
We manufacture milling equipment specific to cannabis and biomass. They are aimed at CO2 extraction as small particle size will improve yields and effeciency, and Pre-Rolls as they are “Cutting Mills” with better particle size adjustment then just the sieve screen.
We integrated 2 existing labratory cutting mills from Germany.
One is a Pulverisette 19 that has been used throughout the industry for awhile now but our automated version is more for downstream processing and bulk handing to attach to other components like conveying systems or weight scale systems that make the milling a semi-automatic or automatic process. We have two versions a VHF.50.19 which is a volumetric feeder directly fed into the cutting mill. The other is a SAMS.19 which is more of a hand fed system but has the same integration capabilities as a VHF. VHF and SAMS both have variable milling speeds that can be stored in a internal memory that allows for milling speeds to set by a engineer and switched by a user between those parameters. All systems come with 3 sieves of your choice from 2/4/6/8/10mm. Systems can also be purchased individually seperate of the mill if you already have a P19 and just want to upgrade. We have also increase in input from 40mm to 70mm and reduced the height of the package for better effeciency to milling by hand.
We have just released a smaller more manual version of the SAMS series called a SAMS.15 also integrated with a fritsch cutting mill. It has a similar package but same size cutting chamber and much smaller footprint. It has a vacuum on/off built into the controller that allow you to connect it to a exhaust material or it can be used with simple collection vessel for smaller batches. Rotors and cutting blades are all SS and have a integrated LCD VDF that allows for speed adjustment between 400-3000rpm. This can also be integrated into a VHF if you also require automatic feeding or downstream connections.
Reach out if you want more info as we have tried to make the systems modular to is easy to allow a user to decide the system they want. Essentially the mill is doing the hard work and you can upgrade the components around it to increase effeciecy witout needing to replace the mill.

so, when you grind it up so much is that for distillate? will it ruin bho to grind so much?
This is not how I would prepare material for hydrocarbon extraction. This is for biomass intended for high-volume distillate or CBD isolate production.
Is this still ~$20k for something that will maybe a kilo per minute if you’re lucky?
Fancy and nice and precise and I want one for my lab, but nearly useless as a production tool unless you’re Canopy.
Unequivocally yes.
chlorophyll ruins the terps
ill stick to hand pulling it into small bits. i get proper yields according to numbers. I just see this shit and wondered if im doing it wrong.
Freeze it and break it up while cold still
its 90 percent humidity. I know what youre saying but it condensates quick. what you say is wat i do but i was just seeing these machines and asked. next run isnt fresh but i plan on drying via nitrogen? my house is humid garden or not. i think i got almost 10 gallons out via dumidifiers today. 5 gals on the small one and a big monster with a pump doing more i presume. garden has zero sign of mold unlike the last one prior to all the dehumidifiers.
Do you have central air? Or basic air exchange?
i got crappy central thats disconnected from the basement other than drawing out. i got a leak in foundtion im reluctant to report to landlord while working/
Garden have ac?
I guess what I’m getting at is, does your space have negative pressure? So you’re always sucking in outside humid air through your home and workspace?
i traded for a giant lgr dehumidifier for basement remediation. it should be good now.
its sealed . not as in tape and plastic. it still leaks through the drywall or whatever. I am exhausting out other rooms and the negative pressure of that may draw moisture out the whole vapor pressure area of the foundation crack
Yeah, you’re just dealing with an uphill battle there aren’t yah? I guess winter time there is the saving grace. When does the high humidity like that come and go?
Washington’s humid, but it’s also cold and rainy so it’s not near the same sweat box
i got led- so now I get to pay for ac and dehumidifier instead of light- it should work out vs having a killer plant with mold in top cola.
my moms house is in washington- oak harbor island if you are there youre def a dick Im not gonna let you lure me into being conversational because in the end you always hate me and are luring me/
Not luring you.
Think you just won me over.
Small fucking world
Wow
