I’m currently running a touchscience DSLB 300/80. I believe it was ~$25K landed.
It is almost up for the task of keeping a four column 6x48” system at temp during recovery…it is NOT up for cooling two such rigs at the same time, and frankly THREE of the damn things would be a better match (and for some reason I had it in my that there were supposed to be three…)
Mind you, using a -80C chiller to pull the heat added in the evaporator & by the pump strikes me as poor resource allocation…10tons at -10C would do a better job AND be cheaper…
Edit: …and we’ve swapped both compressors and added a couple of lbs of isobutane (per touchscience) to get it working…
