What are the yields that I can expect with a Butane CLS?
I ask because in my local market I can sell flower for 8 usd a gram. So if yields are lower than 20% it will be unfeasible
Depends on how good your flower is. I think anything above 20% is a blessing. I really wouldn’t expect to run avgs above that number.
I’d expect somewhere between 15-20%. Especially if your properly dewaxing

I just don’t understand how some guys are importing 6g live resin vapers for U$s 53.
I’d wager they’re not…

I know I wouldn’t destroy actual live resin by loading it in a 6gram cart.
If you want better than 20% yield, you’ll need input at greater than 20% cannabinoids.
You’ll also need to know what you’re doing, and get it right every time.
You don’t, so you won’t…
From an econ 101 perspective, the trick is to use flower you can’t sell.
Once you’ve got your Rumpelstiltskin act perfected, you might be able to charge the premium required to afford destroying high quality input. Maybe.

Yeah you can sell flower. But, most of people dont extract buds, they extract the trim. So sell your flower and extract the trim…

They aren’t. They are using “live resin terps” and it’s common in this industry. Its distillate with either HDTs, CDTs or HTE. And even then, if its a 6g device it’s probably cut with something.

Your yields will be approximately the THCa content of the flower. You wont get a 100% extraction of THCa without sacrificing quality. You can make live resin carts without mixing in distillate by extracting into a short path boiling flask, distilling off the terpenes at a low temp using a graham condenser and then decarbing the remaining extract.

80-90% of available THCA is usually a good number to aim for

Def not live resin. Nobody would put real live resin in 6g carts. I don’t even like mine in 2g carts as it degrades too much that last gram. Only disty would make it in a 6 grammer and then you can bet it will have botanical terps

I do not very know the oil, how it change because the time or touch air. But I know the vape, 6 gram live resin vape ,it’s not real live resin, or it will leak oil, or the capacity should be less than 1.5gram (The pressure change in the oil tank within the range of 1.5 grams will not exceed the controllable range)
I not aware of any state that allows a 6g cart to be sold. Did you get it black market? If thats the case , its probably filled with all kinds of junk you shouldn’t be smoking. Also, how big is it? Is it like carrying around a D battery everywhere you go?

Unless your product is fairly pure it will leave some residue. Live resin is not fairly pure. As the residue builds up it will destroy the flavor. Going with high capacity devices for live resin all but guarantees your customer is going to be “less than happy”.
Just my two cents worth.
