I have a robust hardware/ precapped filling machine set up using CleanCore filling systems. I just need to get my hot plate and a motor stirrer for 1-2 L batches of distillate. Can anyone point in the right direction of decent equipment that would be good for a small setup?
couple different volumes of beakers… a few different ptfe stir bars and heat her up… let her homogenize and add your terpiez as it cools down some. voila thats all you need brother
Thanks! Is it worth getting a motor stirrer if I am doing 1L at a time or should I just heat up and manually stir it since I am starting with small batches? I’ll eventually scale up
nah man get it to where you can set the rpms and you get a very even mix hands free… you dont want to sit there and stir.
what if you want to go pee or go get your cart filling machine prepped after you added the terps? you could degrade some terps if they got too hot
If you got cash to blow you could run a small 2 - 5L reactor and water heater.
Prepping filling machine is the easy part in this case. Magnetic stir bar will be strong enough to mix a Liter of thick distillate?
How much do those run? I am open to doing this once I scale up

so I guess your answer is 1200 to 15k on the reactor. A hot water bath will run you around 3k to 5k.
So - expensive.

But I’d stick to a hot plate for space and ease.
We use Induction heaters with stainless steel cookware and an overhead stirrer. The entire setup costs maybe $600 (mostly the stirrer) and has worked flawlessly for years. We use it for blending disty and for decarbing crude in the fume hood on 1-15kg scale, per pot.
shouldn’t be thick. you need to preheat your distillate in jars first.
my steps are as such;
put distillate in the oven at 90c for about 30 min or so. ( until it can be swirled around in the jar )
turn on hot plate. set temp probe into large beaker. place stir rod into beaker. pour hot disty into beaker. slowly increase RPM on hot plate until a nice stir is going on ( around 350 to 400 rpm ) when the temp gets to about 60c or so i’ll turn off heat and wait a little bit. (i like to let it cool below 40c before i introduce the terps) i then increase the RPM a little higher and then drop in my terps. let this homogenize for a few minutes and voila begin filling those carts.
What do y’all think of the X 1740 UNIDrive Homogenizer for cartridges and tinctures? Is the one sold by cartfarm with the “proper seals” necessary? CAT seems to be the go to brand for homogenizers on this forum. Would homogenizing distillate and tinctures require different shafts or would the G40V be suitable for both applications. Would a homogenizer this powerful only be suited to making large batches, what would the smallest batch possible be?

The magnet is strong enough to pull the stir bar to the bottom of the liter of hot disty?
Gravity helps you out…stir bar sinks to the bottom of your distillate. Magnetic hot plate spins the stir bar.
Thanks I kept picturing the magnetic stir bar getting stuck and having to fish it out. I’ll make sure to heat it up so that doesn’t happen
