Are you making your distillate from a short path? Wiped Film distillate is uninspiring on its ownā¦

Cool cool! Inspired me to make a new thread about this topic! You get a more terpene rich distillate from short path? Or is that still just a remnant of quality input material?
Wiped film distillate is so viscous that it physically requires a dilution to work in a cartridge effectively. If you smoke too much too fast, the coil will heat while not being resaturated by distillate and that leads to clogging/popping for the remainder of the cart. Is there a solution to this aside from diluting with terps? If you smoke through at a normal consumerās pace, then itās actually fine. But a marathon toker like me will smoke through and the re absorption gets all messed up and Iām left having to pull through each time I take a hit.

edit CCELL is great cart just wondering if you tried the libertys with pure disty and had issue

what do you do with the tails and when do you decide to cut off the main body

Still dialing in my flask swaps.
Now Iām saving the heads and tails. Then running them as they build up.
I am sucking out the top layers of the heads, and keeping the minimal mains that make it over.
Iāve never tried liberty v9. Iāll get on that ASAP!
stupid question but whatās the heads and whatās the tails?
Iām assuming the undesirables for the 1st and 2nd pass?
Heads- residual solvent, h2o, terpenes
Mains- the fraction you ONLY want to keep
Tails- lower quality end of run fraction
Knowing when to swap flasks is learned.

EDIT: Hilarious coincidence, my colleagues went to a conference and came back with some hardware and it literally is an exact replica of the Liberty V9 design lol. Itās the screw on centre post with the top airflow. Has a small jacket over the air intake to control flow variability
Thanks! We just have different names for them over here. I also never used a short path before. Is there a benefit to it for vape-intended distillate over wiped film? Thatās another thing Iāve been curious about.
Just disappointedly learned that top flow carts donāt work in passive draw batteriesā¦
