I love seeing waste streams diverted into innovative products. Right off hand, I can think of a ton of products- fire logs, hurd mushroom growing media, felted bast fiber for seed starting and hydroponic growing media or even something so simple as water retaining mulch.
Or my personal project- turning hemp lignin and cellulose into HULIS- humic like substances for use as a fertilizer additive.
