That is inaccurate information. Anyone who performs LLE knows this.
What part of this is inaccurate?
I have run a lot of experiments with saponification, @Rowan knows what he is talking about here and has been quite helpful in the past - I am curious to know what you deem inaccurate
Our company just purchased one of these units, I’ll let you know how it works
This is what we use.
Are those ganged in 5’s?
yes, we run several phases for alkaloid synthesis to remove un-converted material.
that looks like a really slow throughput,
what alkaloids are you sythnesizing?
Thats not a slow output at all for LLE, it runs completely un-attended while doing 5 separate washes in line.
solute phase is flows more because there is more liquid.
We are making “synthesized Incilius alvarius parotoid gland secretions”

what is the throughput? that looks like less than a liter per minute
I forget how busy some of the people on this forum are, lol. I’ve done well for a guy who lives in a somewhat-poor county of 25,000ish people, but I TIP MY HAT TO YOU SIR!
we never measured the output, it never really mattered. we let it run for a week, flush/clean, and don’t turn it back on for 6 months or more.
Shhh we arent big time. Just a little church doing big things for humanity.
well its definitely good for some small scale work
good shit man
I wouldnt call it small scale…. max washing capacity of 50 liters an hour from the tech specs. its fast enough to wash through enough material to make 100kg in a single day.
thats definitely not small scale. it doesn’t look like that capacity cause of the flow, but i guess thats just a single video. nice. I like it. we were looking at those types of centrifuges too, ended up going a different route cause we didn’t want to buy multiple units running in series. Thats badass though
What it lets you do is process in flow. so we can do multiple washes with different types of wash liquid. its slick.
This is super tight, I need something like this asap
Interesting LLE system, assume you do an acidified extract first step, then base and LLE, then reacidification. If Those are some repeating units of a small centrifuge , I am not familiar with the Brand. I have self cleaning water powered centrifugal-micron filters, but yours appear to be powered?
Interesting work..
Not for extraction but rather water washing to remove un-spent materials in the purification process. Its actually pretty fast all things considered, we run it slower so the water grabs all the un-processed molecules and we are left with a very clean end product.
