While it does mean it is possible to find the item cheaper than what it is being sold for here or on average, I wouldn’t necessarily say that means anything when it comes to the actual value of any item though since there are only so many people exposed to an auction and only so much available stock at those prices… It’s not like 10 more people could walk up and get that same price from that same auction right now.
I have seen vehicles, commercial equipment, and houses worth $100,000+ go for $10-20k at auctions as well. I have also personally purchased and seen some of those same items at auctions turn around and be resold for 2 or 3x the auction prices at times.
Previous sales figures for an item 100% determine its value. There are several of these large Apeks currently for sale not on auction for less than this asking price.
So much more than that goes into why these once expensive items are essentially worthless. You have to compare its throughput and quality to a hydrocarbon machine which is why every mfg of this type of equipment is out of business. Lack of support from mfg is another reason.
I disagree the unit is worthless for cannabis but plenty other extractions can be done
So this I probleem not the best platform but the unit is not that bad at it s task
Like I said, I don’t disagree with most of what you are saying… but your original statement was about 1 single auction price and that is what I was commenting on. Asking what about “this and that price” after the fact doesn’t change my original statement at all.
Supply / Demand does dictate the market prices for sure. Infact, on the other side of the argument, if there is a large number of units for sale all hovering around a certain price and none of them are selling… you can probably just assume that the market value is probably below that price range too. You can also always add value deductions upon the arrivals of newer / better / cheaper (comparable) models as well too… but still doesn’t change my original statement lol.
