this is sort of useless without the expensive compressor
even for free
this isnt the part that breaks
After more than a year on the market we had to break down and consider the offers we were getting on the other components, that was ultimately the owner’s decision. Not that it matters now, but from our experience the compressor was the most reliable component in the set up. We had multiple chiller failures which each led to $1500+ booster pump rebuilds, but the compressor never required anything beyond basic coolant and filter changes.
At this stage we’re hoping to sell it to an operator with a similar machine still in service, as a spare to take parts from, such as the freshly-rebuilt booster pump and expensive pneumatic Swagelock valves that are a common failure point on these. Otherwise I’ll be stripping it of its most valuable components to go on Ebay and the rest will be given to scrappers. A bit sad as we are the original owners who paid six figures for it. Either way, we need to get it out of our storage Pod soon.
