Anyone solve Purple Oxidation from converted D9?

The fact that the color is reversible — @Labwork noticed it disappears under vacuum, @Dukejohnson saw it disappear on reheating, and I’ve reversed it with pH shifts in polar solvents — is hard to square with irreversible quinone formation. Which is exactly what I was trying to discuss before this turned into a name-calling contest

So this has been a topic i’ve been doing an absolute shitload of research on recently and I do not believe the purple I experience to be THC quinones. I can reverse it and THC quinone seems like a 1 way street. If it is quinones they are ppm level. Do see quinones in old disty top layer though and I suspect if left to sit and not corrected the initial purple will eventually become quinones.

@Dukejohnson literally has a lab that tests quinones and he tested his product and it wasnt quinones… we were talking about this in DMs

Why is it then that my thc o that tested at 1000mg/g on GCMS by kca was yellow??? It wasnt because of an impurity it was because it was oxidized still. The starting product was a darker orange color in a mason jar (i wouldnt say red but it wouldnt have been good for pens). So why when I acetylated it did the color lighten??? Because it removed the top semi quinone which was causing the darker color (because acetylation works on that top bond) but did nothing to the bottom semi quinone… theres literally 3 different forms of oxidation on any Cannabinoid molecule you can have 1 a semi quinone on top 2 a semi quinone on the bottom or 3 a full quinone… why is it when you pull plants early the color is better when you make rosin??? Because the cannabinoids havent had as much time to oxidize… even yellow extract is oxidized. Yes theres other things that contribute to color but even the best live resin fresh frozen ive ever seen or smoked that tested at like 99.9% with the terpenes in there had color.

I even posted papers disputing what you say and you still are arguing the same exact thing…

Which as you can see states yellow and orange color on cannabinoids is an indication of oxidation (which i said above and is now proven correct and goes exactly in line with what I said about thc o and how it was lightened when it was acetylated)

And also states that quinones are very unstable

Youre not reversing anything because youre not making it back into cbd youre making it into cbd with a hydroquinone if that which cbd doesnt have and even then I doubt that because that paper i linked even says cbd quinone is super unstable and degrades easy, if anything youre destroying it
