We are Lighthouse Sciences, a licensed processing operation in NE Ohio, with state-wide distribution and reach.
We offer full service extraction, contract manufacturing, co-packing, and distribution services to qualified out of state brands and companies, who are looking to enter the Ohio Medical Market.
Ohio is a market that is taking off rapidly, with recreational use expected to be added in 2024, and the program expanding quickly. Our state population is 12 million, compared to Michigan’s 10.2 million and that is already a 2 billion dollar market. We see a tons of potential here! One of the factors that keeps our market strong is the extremely limited nature of licenses in the program (cultivation, processing, retail) which has kept prices high compared to other states where we can see the race to the bottom either happening or already happened.
Heck, we’re getting $60 a unit for live resin concentrates (retail)! Essentially we don’t have the issue with oversupply which has ruined margins in many other state programs.
Due to the fact that no new licenses are being issued, to enter the Ohio Market you really only have two options:
Either acquire a licensed operation through either merger or acquisition or seek a manufacturing group like us to expand your brand to an entirely new state (for FAR less than you would have to spend otherwise)! While we are not the only group in OH offering contract services, there aren’t many. Most groups I know of only look at licensing deals, so as not to compete with their own brands. Whereas we feel that a rising tide lifts all boats, and great brands entering the space here will only help strengthen and grow the program. This also lets us focus on our strengths: manufacturing, formulation, and extraction.
About us: We got our operational approval in August of 2021, and have been rocking the OH market ever since. We are currently in over 95% of the operational dispensaries, and have strong relationships with cultivators across the state for sourcing of high-quality biomass. We operate out of a 10,000sq foot manufacturing space located right off the corridor highways just east of Cleveland which allow us to quickly facilitate distribution across the state. We have a strong team, with the Lab Director and Extraction Lead both coming from the S. California market with decades of experience in producing top-shelf extracted goods.
Currently we offer hydrocarbon extraction services, processing into most types of finished goods (if you have a specific use case type product we don’t have equipment for, we’re flexible on figuring out how to implement your needs into our facility), and a fully approved MIPs Kitchen.
Bandwidth is high right now, we’ve just upgraded our system to a 70L model, and we’re eager to expand our offerings with partner brands!
We offer as much support as you’d like, and can coordinate packaging/labelling design, R&D, manufacturing and sales, or offer services on an ala-carte basis if you have a team with packaging and formulations ready to go.
