Hahah O man this is funny. SO were going to put in a buncha network connected devices into our process workflow so Amazon can tell us when a heater coil or bearing is about to go bad ?

Does nobody see the huge security issue surrounding all this ?

/me puts on tinfoil hat

I’m not really sure what the security risk is for vibration monitoring the bearings on motors… IOT security is definitely a big problem, especially industrial IOT with logic/SCADA systems but I’m not sure how anyone could maliciously use preventative maintenance data. What am I missing?

well nobody saw how haptics would be used to hack systems and now its got its own whitehat following, I think distrust in big tech is common, my rule is “if it connects to the net, its a risk”.
