Compared to the 5 or so other big moves I made, that one was the most miserable. Minnesota was cool, I found myself in Moorhead more than Fargo.
Minnesota is beautiful, made a good choice going there.
North Branch and Taylors Fall’s, beautiful areas. If you ever go back, visit those areas for the river aspect. Can walk on trails or go kayaking on the river.
Fargo was cool but never went there much to my knowledge as a kid. Most people know it from the movie Fargo.
I remember during the large oil boom, my friends that went up there to work would tell me horror stories. How there were absolutely no women up there. Nothing but a bunch of dudes who were rowdy. They told me how you would have to go out at night with your buddies or friends, that some dudes were getting raped up there… don’t know if it was true or not, but a girl I met at 2013 Denver 4/20 fest, told me similar stories…
Yeah, had buddies go over there and heard nightmarish stories.
I’m good on ND. I’m happy staying in WA, ID, or MT.
I was there for most of 2019, heard the same man on man rape stories. By the time I was there there were quite a few hookers and I never heard of another incident like that
Wonder what could go wrong with a bunch of desperate oil workers in the middle of bum fuck no where
The stories are true. I worked around Williston as a geoarcheologist for years and the last thing we wanted to hear was that a project required staying in a “mancamp”. That was some real life Antwan Dodson shit…
With enormous amounts of cash to spend and nowhere to spend it… To say there was excessive meth consumption occurring really understates “excessive”.
Surprised some enterprising tweaker didn’t roll through with a winnebago full of bitches and shards.
Lots of the Mexican dudes up there were involved in that. Cathouses/dope houses in the trailer/rv park etc, just nothing open air like a major city
Hit me up when your in town… Texas love …
And I thought my old county was worse than ND.
I do miss and don’t miss ND. Beautiful state, but lot of it’s own problems to put it lightly.
First surgery went well, they shaved down some rather large bone spurs on my collar bone. removed lots of scar tissue and inflammation. Thankfully, they didn’t have to repair the rotary tendon! So happy, cause that would have increased my down time and PT for 3-6 months more. Follow up on Thursday next week and hopefully start PT and get scheduled for my left shoulder. Unfortunately for me, my left shoulder is worse than my right with a >10mm tear on my tendon. So I will have to undergo longer recovery. I’ll keep you all updated. My only hope is that Insurance will cover the whole PT for my left. Kinda has me stressed out, but good news, my wife is about to cut down my tent and I cannot wait to smoke on some white truffle I’ve been holding onto since I scooped it last Summer from another member on here. Thanks for the words of advise and for all who’s called and hit me up. Big family here and my wife sends thanks for the prayers!
This was the surgery they just did on me. I thought this video was interesting and let me see first hand how it was coordinated.
That is 100% what the market here has become.
Or dispensaries that carry themselves like that friend who doesnt consume but doesnt want to feel left out “Let me get $500 worth”
I just had a Scapholunate ligament reconstruction on my right wrist in the middle of March. I just started pt yesterday. Getting my wrist to bend again is not fun, to say the least
Push through it, you’ll be happy you did.
I will work on it every day. It’s definitely tender, a little swollen (that’s what she said), and stiff today
