I found it interesting that a lb of a.c. can hold 1/6 to 1/3 its weight of different compounds. Interesting list of compounds that are absorbed…
If 5% (by weight of solute)a.c. was used In a solution to remove impurities could it then be assumed, based on the chart, that I would remove 1.6% of the starting solute?
Is this chart applicable? What have your absorbtion rates been?
P.s. The absorbtion rate for cheese(listed at 1/3 into a.c.)is approaching my own absorbtion rate for cheese.
