About D8 smokability

Does HHC have an 11OH metabolite equivalent? Idk if the c position numbering is the same for HHC.

Numbering stays the same.

To be honest, I am not sure this has been looked like into much. I know the 11-OH-HHC has been made, but not if it represents that major metabolic breakdown pathway.

I’ve always been curious about that, if HHC is metabolized analogously. With d9, at least in my opinion, there’s this pretty discernible boost in effect 8-12 min after inhalation, probably the result of the formation of the stronger d9-11-OH metabolite.

Since C11 is allylic with respect to the double bond in both d8 and d9, I’d expect the oxidations to be of comparable rates.

In HHC, however, that allylic activation is not present, and ought to change rate of oxidation, and thus, a difference in user experience. If that’s the pathway, of course.
