This LLE can be used to replace any reactor LLE method and provides 5 stages of washing so that the user could do 3 water washes, one baking soda wash and one salt wash for instance if washing an organic layer. If extracting from an aqueous layer, the user could perform 4 ethyl acetate washes and then wash that ethyl layer with salt water all in one trip through the machine.
