Huh. You must have me mistaken with someone else. Never been on a call with you. Never been introduced to you. Why lie where you got our contact information from. I’m not the only one.
Try again. Now I’m a bit concerned. Ask my daddy Dustin? lol. I think you’re confused. Furthermore, I DONT THINK IVE EVER TALKED TO @future on the phone. Not once ever. I’ve talked to him in person. Threw DMs. But I don’t have a phone number for future nor ever recall speaking with him on the phone. Nor a group call with you.
So how did you really get our emails or are you gonna keep lying? This isn’t a great look now. Since I’m embarrassing myself……
All this talk about money, zero ppm “tech”, classes and not one mention of gas chromatography. Joke of an industry. Someone can show you a procedure to memorize but without any actual data from an instrument there’s no way to know if the method you’re paying so much for is a valid and repeatable one. Like for that much money are you learning how to operate a GC so you can verify the concentration of hydrocarbons is below some arbitrary threshold? Or just trust the third party labs?
I know her enough to be confident that you will get your money’s worth at her class. There will be a solid curriculum, the right gear, a good teacher, great networking and fire dabs.
Is it just that you want to find something negative to say, no matter how irrelevant? I don’t get it. This thread is for a class. If you’re interested, chime in. If you’re not move along. This is just ooky.
Yea a lot of these classes seem like paid demos of equipment you can buy.
But. If you dislike it. Legit just avoid it. The class is catered to a specific demo and you’re likely not the target audience.
It’s legit catered as a b2b class. Sure individual techs can go. But cmon. Price point is set as a nothing fee for businesses that don’t know how to lab, so that they can send an already underpaid tech to learn more.
Eta: it’s like bitching at XD that they offer an optional 15k consulting class add on when you buy their system. (I don’t see anyone doing that) You know how to blast? Congrats. You don’t really need it. But chads. And people with money and no knowledge. Well. That’s who it’s catered to.
Usually the equipment providers involved with a class offer the class price as a credit towards the purchase of their equipment.
So if you were already planning on buying something from a company, it often makes sense to get trained on it in a classroom setting effectively for free
I agree, who gives a shit. If someone pays that and finds value in it. Good for them. Why does everyone give that much of a fuck about it? If you don’t like it, don’t pay for the class and certainly don’t go. Otherwise… shut the fuck up.
You either have to sell a TON of products at a reasonable margin, or take advantage of people’s ignorance and make a fuckload on a few.
The former is not my cup of tea.
The latter sure looks great until you realize that your only competitive advantage is “I know a vendor that you don’t know” but that vendor has a website where they advertise the same damn products and anyone with an internet connection can torpedo most of your business in 20 minutes of searching like this:
I much prefer to do things that actually provide value. It’s a lot harder, but also means that anyone who wants to compete with me needs to spend a ton of resources just to keep up.
Green tax is, was, and will be healthy I’d Say. I was using a Flackteck speedmixer (dual asymmetric centrifuge) in like 2018, they got us for about $80,000 for a 1 liter unit. According to them we were the second lab in the cannabis space using one. It is actually impressive these off brand versions have come so far in such a short amount of time in regards of cost availability. The Chinese sure do find a way haha
I’ve personally always tried to call out useless or unnecessarily green taxed bullshit equipment in this industry.
I hear it’s made me a lot of friends with the OEMs /s
At least some of the other vendors with massive applied green taxes seem to try to at least pretend to add value.
Delta’s kit was super overpriced for what it was, but at least it wasn’t actually poorly engineered or useless shit, unlike many other vendors.
Vitalis’s gear was ok for what it was, even if it was a screwdriver when everyone really needed a scythe.
Sure Killa is a reseller, but he’s not trying to make an insane margin and also pretend he’s selling you the second coming of your deity of choice in stainless steel form.
I’ve got a ton more respect for even for the vendors who tried “this thing we made is actually pretty shite but we’re trying to sell it anyway” than these “we provide zero value except a new logo and a horrendous markup” companies out to make a quick buck.
Why this thing specifically, and why now?
I dunno, because I hear it’s actually better than the second coming of any god you care to name, and it’s going to solve all of your residual solvent issues, make you a ton of money, and probably also make you more attractive to every person you meet.
And it can be yours for the price of the device plus a small additional charge that is more than I’ve lived on in some years.
It looks like it could be a pretty useful tool. I would like to have one. Getting one direct seems like the best route for me.
