Yet another lanphan problem thread (DLSB 50/30 chiller)

The strongest chillers I have made is with split unit airco s
Just rip all the housing off of the internal evaporator and drop in a glycol bath make sure all is submerged
And the bath is insulated
I have a pond/aquarium pump recirculating
Have a hvac specialist bypass the thermostat and if nesseary place another that is submersible for units up to 16 amp there are these plug and play thermostats (30$) accurate up to 2 degrees C
An other cheap chiller are the ones for cooling tap beer they can not run real cold -10C but have quiet some cooling power and are plug and play with 4 ss coils included and a pump already installed

I
Pic is of a small unit larger versions are dibble the size with 1.5 kw electric consumption and 3 kw cooling power

Agree, they don’t know what they are selling and they don’t manufacturer them as well. They got it and put their brand on it and hope it work.
Yes, they all get a new brand name after their brand is stink

O one more I am keen to try to modify is this type of coldcel freezing unit
If my assumptions are right this is the
Mega window ac unit
Same deal strip all of and pop in a glycol bath and run

A mini split is best. You can even throw the condenser outside and run just the evaporator inside submerged but youll have to do some more extensive wiring modifications

i have a couple friends in the hvac business and they swap customers mini split units out from time to time, hoping to find a free one by winter to modify.

It took 30 emails back and forth but I finally got my chiller repair bill reimbursement from lab 1st. I wish I would of seen this before I bought it and made a better one instead. A $500 repair bill for a $1300 chiller, junk ass shit. It runs non stop too and still gets above -10 with my 5l roto.

I do not believe lan fan is lab1st are you saying the lab 1st customer service is miserable as well?

Not very good, sold me a broke down chiller. The pump was bad when I got it. And about 3 weeks of use all the refrigerant leaked out. I thought it looked like the same manufacturer, same style model number s mine was dlsb 05 -20

There’s a place in ferndale rhat can fix that, my friend just had his fan and lump replced. Guy is super cool

I don’t usually bump old topics
but when I do it’s because I have something to contribute.

I just got a new DLSB-100/80 and getting that E-01 error from first time turning it on. :frowning:

I made sure to fill the fluid before powering it on and theres no way its below the target -80 temp (its sitting at room temp). I figure it must be a faulty sensor issue or loose wire somewhere in the mess of black duct tape behind those panels. Engaging Lanphan support but figured I’d share my experience here in hopes it will help save someone else some time and headache.

Terry is selling faulty masks now a days.

I saw that brand was actually recalled. @Terry_Manager is a fucking scum bag human garbage that would steal your mom’s kidneys and sell them back to her at a "deal’. Assholes.

Yup, that’s why he is MIA. He is selling the masks nobody wants because they do not work. Governments are realizing all the masks and test kits being sent out by the chinese are no good. I wonder what that means about their test results in China.

I see all this hating going on and group-think that bands together to villanize industry participants - I don’t know their reasons and even if I did that manner of behaviour is a bit juvenille. We are all aiming to be outstanding men, surely, so better to not breed poison & venom within one’s mind(garden). Unpleasant as that may be I wish to extend my thanks to @Terry_Manager for taking the time to help me get my new chiller unit working. It now goes down to -80C in a matter of minutes. Work can continue!!

Edit: The resolution in my case was to swap positions of two out of the three live wires going to the 3Phase circuit breaker. The DLSB-100/80 that I got is a 3phase, 220V, 60Hz, if anyone was wondering.

The shitty part is you had to do this to a unit you paid x amount of dollars for. If that x is worth the extra labor and headache, then by all means go for it. No ones judging the buyer. A few will, though.

I totally agree with you there - you get what you pay for. In this case it was my boss that bought the machine and had I any input I would have leaned towards something made in USA. At the end of the day though I am happy with this unit as is and to boot the issue was so minor and required virtually no brain work on my end - just swapped a couple of wires (1 minute fix).

With Terry you often end up with less or something diffrent you paid for.

Im totally agree with spdking on the comment above now, terry made me think that about him, himself.

i wonder how much bs is allowed on this site from sellers, sure cbd slangers would get the boot a long time ago even walking like terry does.

My responsibility is to provide you with after sales service and help you solve the problem. And I am glad to help you solve the problem.

My biggest concern is to provide my customers with good after-sales service to help them solve problems.
Thank you very much for supporting me.
