Wow. Big news from Biden

You are missing the part where you interject yourself into a conversation you don’t want to be apart of.

Gotta let them cry it out in annoyance.

No, I’m quite happy with being a part of it, as I said before. It’s quite nice to know you’re bouncing off the walls about nothing, fighting with somebody who you don’t even yet have a disagreement with.

Last time I checked if the money he got to start from his father was placed on an account with normal interest he would have been richer
I used to be interested in his whereabouts busniss wise until that fact was shown to me and made me realize
He achieved nice projects but his fortune was not special

I was being facetious on both points.

He got a million dollars from his dad. One million compounded over 50 years with average 6% return is only 20 million. He’s been worth multiple billions.

Sorry I’m really into investing I saw you post and was like that doesn’t feel right let me do the math.

It probably depends on the numbers you use and how you run them, and also if you dont count the Truth Social billions, as they came after that factoid was circulated.

" Here are some returns for the stock market from 1975 to 2024:

As of May 2024, the S&P 500’s average yearly return over the last 50 years is 11.47%, assuming dividends are reinvested. When adjusted for inflation, the 50-year average is 7.39%."

I used 6% adjusted. He was a billionaire multiple times over before truth social. Still way off from the claim that was made.

You can’t just invest a million dollars in the S&P and have it turn into billions in a lifetime. Period. If that were possible we’d have millions of billionaires.

Truth Social is a public company, so that money is documented. Prior to that, I don’t think anyone really knew for sure. Accounting can be like magic. I once had a stock market account with over a million in buying power that had maybe ten grand in actual cash behind it, because it was all company money and that broker dealer was really, really into leverage.

There’s tons of information about Trump’s taxes etc. There’s really no way you can say that he was only worth $20m my friend. His real estate is worth far more than that alone. Not getting political, I’m just saying it’s disingenuous to say the man didn’t work for his billions.

He did something that no one on this forum has ever been close to doing, and no matter what you think about him politically, saying he didn’t build a valuable business is probably not the way to argue against the guy.

Definitely had billions. Not gonna go as far as saying he worked for them. Something about unpaid contractors and trump university scams

He was lying about being a billionaire for 30+ years before Truth Social. Fixed that for you.

Also, Truth Social/Trump Media & Technology group is a meme stock of the highest order, nobody with a clue is paying that much for a company that has never been profitable and bleeds cash constantly. It’s worth plenty to Trump as a way to skirt campaign finance and corruption laws, since any dirtbag with money can legally buy unlimited ads on Truth Social to get favors done. If you care about buying stock that will be worth more than you paid for it, I wouldn’t touch $DJT with a ten foot pole.

I’m not partisan. I live in a solidly blue state, so it doesn’t matter what I think. To be honest, I want to vomit in my own mouth when Kamala talks. But that doesnt matter because I’m not in a swing state.
