Expensive man, I’m looking for a 2lb system and based in the Uk will need all accessories and spares too

Also need a vac oven

Killa I’m new to this forum but have been reading on u. Let’s chat on pm

Two issues. One N2 compressibility vis a vis butane.

The underlying issue is that butane is condensable to a liquid, where N2 is not. The N2 keeps building pressure in the system while the LPG condenses at the same pressure, just by cooling it.

Pressure on the pump outlet side requires more horsepower to push the discharge into the higher pressure tank, and slows down recovery. It also puts more wear and tear on the pump, thus shortening its life and maintenance interval.

I use a hot vapor boost instead, which eliminates the need for N2 for injection but an atmospheric leak on the pump intake side or poor startup techniques introduces 78% nitrogen and creates the same problem.

For that reason I installed a bleed valve in the tops of the storage tank to bleed it off. To Cyclopaths point, you can also recapture and reuse it if you are using N2.

First clue there is non condensable gases present, is excess tank pressure without a temperature rise. If you ignore it, ostensibly it will reach the PRV release pressure and discharge before a 450 psi recovery pump maxes out.

The second issue is with Scooterrats pictured passive extractor. Recovery speed is directly proportional to surface area, so a 4" unit will be very slow.

The clamps shown do not meet the standards for our application. See:

No PRV’s.

Dump valve without adjustable packing gland or seat pressure not best design for our application.

Consider instead a 6" unit, which will still stand the 350 psi minimum ASME requirements for LPG Pressure Piping and has over double the surface area of a 4".

Dropping this here.

Just ordered a 150psi PRV :heavy_check_mark:

was told recently we may wanna come down to 100-125psi… i cant say anything i have few 150s some 125s and some adjustables i should check again

btw rack mounting was best thing i ever do for ease of use in an extractor for small guy…i weigh 175lbs an 511 so that 10ft tower i had to climb on chair for was to much
