I cant find the video anymore, its literally a classic. Mr.Extractor explains how he holds the patent to the basic extractor design and that everyone using a system is infringing.
Pretty sure this thread and specifically the news article quoted goes over it succinctly
In the end, with the processing capacity totally regulated by this man. He essentially governs the price, availability, and quality of all Cannabis extracts in the entire United States.

Although if that top column was jacketed AND sleeved and if the bottom collection was jacketed and matched the amount of solvent passing through the column, it could’ve proved handy at distilling hydrocarbons/lpg.
I saw the little terp. But is this fucking adorable thing an extractor. I’m almost in tears at how cute it is.

I owned a tamisium too. Looking back I’m glad I sold it. I forgot the oil they suggested for the gaskets. But it was like cooking oil. 
We all start somewhere. I think I paid $1300 for my 45 gram extractor.
