Their story has changed, likely because “I let him out to pee and he ran away,” makes them sound foolish. Now it was an act of God, a tree fell and made the dog run away. Certainly there is no incompetence to ɓe seen here, especially from cops who think their Dutch Shepherd is a Malinois.

They need to investigate the Kansas Highway patrol for doing the same. They have been doing something similar to drivers coming through i-70 for years but instead of stealing the pounds of marijuana post-conviction they offer you one option on the spot after being detained and taken to the Kansas highway patrol depot (like a miniature garage depot with some air conditioning, a separate temporary evidence locker and a small office - not an actual jail or anything connected to a courthouse)

As long as there are no other drugs besides cannabis present (according to the multiple people I’ve witness explain their experiences with KHP) they offer you to give up all of your cannabis on the spot even in 10-20-30lb+ amounts they give you an unsigned “printout of the seized evidence” they don’t charge you with anything and release you back to your vehicle at the KHP garage depot (that has a temporary evidence room onsite) and you are free to go on your way.

I’ve had witnesses temporarily detained there and released describing multiple officers bickering over who got to take home different seized firearms as if they all wanted some equity in how the officers there split up all the undocumented confiscated items. You could argue it’s a blessing and a curse for the mules. They tell you they “have up to ____ days/years” to file charges so that the people who were robbed and released won’t make a fuss or file any complaints about these illegal interdictions. I would guess the KHP has robbed well over 600LBs probably much higher into the 1000s of LBs from these illegal seizures.

This KHP depot is just off i-70 and is also relatively close to where they illegally raided the home of an owner of a Marion County newspaper and she died of a heart attack the following day and now the local police chief responsible for the raid is fighting a felony charge for that illegal raid. The story reads like the raid on this newspaper was retaliatory for the newspaper covering local corruption.

A federal judge ruled two years ago that the “two step” technique employed by Kansas highway patrol is a violation of peoples 4th amendment rights. The stories I have heard from people’s testimony of this happening occured between 2018 and 2022 (I am sure there are more than just the handful of people I have met who have had this happen to them while driving loads through Kansas)

Prior to this ruling the Kansas State court upheld the practice until a federal Judge made the ruling above ending the practice citing 4th amendment violations.

The raid on the Marion county newspaper owner had nothing to do with reporting on these illegal thefts committed by KHP but you can start to notice how corrupt most of the administrative and law enforcement groups are in Kansas especially around this area off i-70 where they are playing their own illegal racketeering game from preying off of people wrapped up in the Marijuana industry.

If you see this one instance of 600Lbs missing from evidence in Colorado nextdoor to Kansas, and put together peoples previous testimony. I think we would find a much larger illegal enterprise “repeating history” at a much larger scale in Kansas with their own highway patrol relating to this route through i-70.

I wonder if anyone here in this community has had any more experiences like this of people you all might know having gone through Kansas and had the same thing happen to them.
