I have a nearly complete 2L SPD setup with an alcatel, save for a few connecting pieces, heat pump, and a good cold trap. It’s just sitting in boxes right now.
Anyone think I could make a few extra bucks processing CBD or something down here on the northern border of GA right along TN/NC? I don’t know anybody here which is why I’m asking lmao
(I don’t wanna sell my setup, I want it on hand hahaha)

And CBD is like 2/bucks or less a gram, not wholesale rn. Lol. Can’t be to much money there? Even swear I read that CBD producers were getting stuck with giant backstocks and the falling price per pound was causing them issues. But like anything online. So much mixed infos… I would deff look into if you have big buyers lined up for it? Or if you can get big buyers lined up for it? Or 100s of 1000s or millions of small ones?
I’m sure everyones results vary. Sure you could make a couple beans at least? But time/effort>beans?
Eh, I mean my energy consumption is technically free since I’m running off solar. Depending on how low I could keep my costs, I could make a lil money maybe. I haven’t been keeping my eye on the market but I know CBD is literally the price of dirt lol
But yeah the time, effort, and the extra equipment I’d have to get in order to get an efficient little lab is probably not worth it. I don’t really want to make a business out of it, lost interest in the alternative med industry, just wanted to put the SPD to use.

Yeah, honestly, I’m thinking about trying alkaline water extraction to acidic precipitation. Maybe instead of acid precipitation I can LLE into pentane and crash from there? Lots of fun choices I’ve never tried. I might have misunderstood the research paper/patent I read, though.
Wonder if I can source cheap CBDa material first and try it on that before using my precious THCa biomass. The patent said the alkaline solution extracts acid anions, so theoretically, it should work.

This is the easiest way but don’t forget upon acidification you’ll have 50% of the unnatural THC acid. Idk if that’s a bad thing I think a tiny bit THCa-B occurs naturally but I don’t worry about it because I decarb for carts anyway
