I remember when they had little boxes you could play into the phone for free long distance. I remember having a key chain that got me free calls.
Iāve been playing with security as long as I can remember. I ordered piggy back chips from popular computers in the 80s to get ppv channels. Then cable frequency filters. Programming sat cards. Modding game systems.
Playing with device security was like cross word puzzles growing up with my mom working at radio shack my whole life.

I got lucky and was able to still do red boxing back in the day. You had to rip the mouthpiece off and alligator clip it on so the tones could be ran through a signal amplifier but it worked god damn it
Also, what site/tool is this from? Doesnāt look to be that intelligencex site unless thereās a dark mode or something. Iām not very well versed on whatās āhipā with the ākidsā these days.

Just to cover all the bases I will be bringing us down tonight to do some checks and updates. I donāt want to flat out say he is wrong, I recognize where a few of the screenshots come from and recognize them to be nothing more than you can get from a public crawler/scraper. The CVEs youāll find for Discourse I patch up as soon as the updates available, but the eventual answer is NOTHING ON THE INTERNET IS PRIVATE. This site will eventually get hacked, in some form or another. Iāll do my best to let everyone know if I suspect something like that is happening.
I donāt think something like that is happening now. Some of the stuff claimed is just flat out false like claiming we are infected with Fate, which we are not, something clamav would pick up with ease.

Anything important should have physical 2FA fob (have dupe or triplicates, I keep one in my PC and one on my keychain)
If the site doesnt support hardware 2fa then a 2fa app (I use 2FAS) on phone with your keys backed up on another location. PC or Email. App has to option to password it and you can also store in in a .Rar requiring an additional password if paranoid
I try to avoid using text or email for 2FA

I would suggest users turn on Two Factor in general. We āAllow users to request a one-click login link to be sent to them via email.ā which seems acceptable to me. If your email is compromised you are in trouble anyways.
You can enable 2fa / otp / FaceID / yubikey / whatever in your user preferences under security
