I’m currently trying this right now. And it didn’t boil over to the whole shortpath. I have a know on the vacuum so I slowly opened it, and at first it looked like it was going to boil over but then it goes down and starts doing the super fast bubbles.
Just make sure its at 140c, don’t get impatient lol
Complete decarbing can happen as low as 60°C and at higher than 130°C but will generally result in more oxidation. If herb is exposed to oxygen and light during the decarboxylation process, oxidation speeds up. To avoid oxidation and get the most efficient results, minimize exposure to light and air while decarbing and target the ideal temperature range between 110 and 130° C.
Vac oven works great
Start at 220f with no vac to get the oil less viscous then pull a vac
When it stops bubbling at 220f step it up to 250f then when it stops bubbling again up to 290f
Use a thermocouple inside the oven for best results
…and when you need to replace those silicon door seals, try and get viton, which will last longer against “terps”.
