Purple distillate questions

Im interested on how you are reversing the purple, are you adjusting the ph at all?

I know of someone who can switch the color back and forth based on if its backfilled with argon or not

Have you ever put the purple disty in a vacuum oven and tried pulling full vac then filling with argon? If not try it and see what happens

What do you mean by ā€œreverse?ā€ I have made what I believe to be CBD quinones with NaOH (classic beam test). Fully reversible through pH adjustment….purple to yellow crystals or yellow purple.

Same with alkaline activated alumina used for d8/d9 conversion. Alkaline end-product was purple. Acidic end-product was pink. Neutral end-product was yellow. Could go back and forth multiple times without issue or any major change in potency. Only spent a few weeks playing with it and had no in-house testing, just basic local R&D stuff

Very cool! Thanks for the reply. I did an acid and a base wash then a brine wash and a hot scrub with a few different media. I added back a small amount of liquid diamonds for the antioxidants properties. Its definitely not purple anymore kind of a nice yellow gold… but its cloudy now lol

I tried warming it a bit to like 130f under deep vac for 24 hours but that did not appear to help.

No need for argon, aside from slowing down the purpling. It can be reversed with a bunch of O2 absorbent in a sealed container. I shit you not.

(Not that I support Uline)

hi , Did you manage to solve your problem? I thoroughly dry the material with sodium sulfate before distilling; this helps absorb any remaining moisture after winterizing and prevents oxidation. This usually happens to me when I use crude distillate processed through CRC. When I don’t use CRC, the purple color never appears, but it’s always dry. This helps prevent the distillate from oxidizing or makes it last longer.

Add HTE for color….
