Was attempting the fast Boulder tek.
I placed vessel away and completely forgot to check on it the next day…3 days since I poured liquor. Fatties.
Pentane?
Those are some pigs
Not those huge diamonds people are posting but still some very nice London Pound Mints caviar? Idk what to call it but it is below 4k ppm ethanol.
Accidentally crashed these trying to decarb some oil in a 70C diamond miner. Anyone have a good explanation for why CRCed material is impossible to decarb? Pulling some kind of catalytic pigment out?
That temp sounds really low to be trying to decarb imo
I haven’t ever gone below 200f, and 230f is my go to. 260f if I’m in a rush…
I shoot for 245f myself. Probably all the limonene
This sounds better ime
Jesus, super hot. I was attempting to decarb some oil without ripping a vac and transferring vessels 10 times, taking the slow-and-low approach. I’ve had nothing but luck with material that hasn’t seen a column, but I went really overboard on media this run and eventually wound up throwing it on a mantle at 120C for 4 hours. Still only 55% decarbed after 5 days at 70C and a stern dicking in a rbf. Whatever I’m pulling out is either catalyzing the dissociation of the carboxyl or the THCA is cross-linking into some kind of stabilized pseudo-polymer. No one else has this problem?
What pressure do you keep the miner at? I’m decarbing at 60C and my oil would be about the same % decarbed at day 5. Also, do you pour the oil from the collection pot directly into the miner?
I pour directly in the miner with ~2lbs of solvent still in there, sits at 250psi and I’ll burp that off two or three times every day and it’ll end at roughly 50psi. I’ll have un-remediated 99% decarbed in 3 days consistently running the same parameters.
Gotcha, that’s basically the exact same parameters I run. The only time I see crystallization is when I’m not directly putting the oil immediately on heat or when my pressures aren’t where I want them to be. I’m just surprised your crystals did not melt after that time, I don’t use any CRC so I can’t make any comments as to how that would affect your oil. Are you going to continue to heat the crystals to see if they melt?
That’s definitely not a @moldynug
