I don’t go around video taping my homies set ups so no I don’t have video . @anon88836658 nothing was wrong with the scale . This system ran 100lbs an hour with 3 500L tanks constantly injecting and recovering passive at the same time . It inspired me to build my own as close as possible . I currently am rocking a 150L getting 3lbs a minute with 12kw of heat and dry ice . My homie had 2 whole house water heaters running at 160F with over 100 Kw of heating power and went through unbelievable amounts of dry ice like 2000+lbs a day . System ran at 10-20lbs per minute all day long till it was shut down . This was a custom built system like no other and had a few special tricks to make it work . If you walked in you would see a rack that you would think is all material columns but it is really 8 6x48 crc tubes ready to go for the day
Oof at 160 there go your terps must been just running dry trim with that huh?
Yeah it’s set up for bulk dry trim production. I run my heater at 40c for dry trim and 30-35 c for my live runs. I only run live out my personal garden in small amounts mainly doing dry trim . It would be hard to get that much FF to even feed the machine of that scale. It makes nice crumble and sugar
How do you create enough vapor to push the gas through the system. My biggest struggle is creating the amount of vapor needed to not run out of vapor for gas pushing and having to convert back to Nitrogen. Our goal is 10-20# per minute but we seem to struggle to even hit 1-3# with using 1.5" recovery lines to our condenser than down to 1/2" line going back into the tank on dry ice.
On ntane , 20 is a stretch. Im basically at those same paramaters, conservatively i hit 11-12# all day . Use some properietary tech to do it, its not just thermals but backpressure as well. Ive hit 12# a min with 1kw of heat lmfao! Keeping the heat upjust keeps it steady whether its 1kw or 5kw as long as your backpressure is 0-30 youll be ripping, obviously the lower the faster. Dry ice does wonders for condensing and keeping the momentum forward esprcially when your whole system is in vacuum. Di is a bitch but if you treat her right she does wonders.
You should be evacuating your backpressure, and using nitro for assist . All the backpressure is slowing you down.
@Ogscientific sounds right on par with my homies setup . His peak recovery is 20lbs per minute sustained average all day is 10-12lbs per minute . Cool to see other people doing it !
But with 1kw of heat?
@Dred_pirate I think he means he let the collection build up tons of pressure with 1kw and it recovered really fast for a minute but did not sustain
Ya I can see where I read it a little differently. It would definitely heat it up closed off, but not very long will it drop temp going that fast
So what is everyone else getting for recovery rates these days ? I could go up to 4lbs a minute with my heater cranked up to 55c . Currently been running at 35-40c with 3lbs per minute . I think it is easier to get faster recovery with straight n butane as long as you put enough heating and cooling at it . It is easier to condense and easier to keep the tank under vac .
Preheat to 65c , pull tank to -30 through 100 ft of coil in a slurry. I have 3 , 1 kw in parrelel i use the hot water to flush the boiler. Before temp drops, switch them out and itll stay at 55-65c depending how fast or attentive im being,. Never recover anything less then 4.5 min, averages 11-12 i recover 80 pounds of gas in about 8 mins. Then drop temp flush the hot water and run till i have my desired yeild before polishing it up! At the i end dont personally like going over 4.5, only takes a minute or 2 to literally fuck things up and redissoving is counter intuitive in timing when you can redump, and finish your next run in minutes. I like to do 40-100# lots. Takes some time to dial it in but id rather clean up alot vs a little and save at the same time ! The boilers i use are preheated to 95c on the 2nd and 3rd and have 50l of boiling water. Shit doesnt drop at all cause of the volume of fluid exceeds the jackets water capacity . I want to say, 100l vessel is 10-30l of water, and i have about 150l of hot water on stand by pushing it forward. Nbutane is efficient due to the bp on the recondensing side. Alot easier to condense the vapor load and theres a few tricks i do !
so you’re not really using 1kw you’re storing heat.
Just remember there is usually a 30-60 degree delta difference between heater set point and high vapor temp (hottest point in the process).
Curious, does anyone else make , or know where to obtain, a tube in shell that is open, for dry ice instead of closed for liquid coolant.

Alternatively, long coils that are in steel housing, like the old bhogart ones…that ya put dry ice in
Most of the shit I am finding are lacking in one thing or another.
And if it’s something I can get them to purchase, I’d rather support muthafuckas here
HFS sells one
Like chemtek, they are out of stock, every place I check is out of stock or don’t have what I’m looking for.
Thank you!
That’s because they’re probably mostly all made in China
@710enigmatic might have some in stock
I have always been wanted to try one of these !! Maybe when I do my new build out I will incorporate a few
