yummy where can i get a bowl of this!!
What is the bare bones, budget price for a closed loop these days?
3-5 hundred it looks like
That’s the cheapest closed loop probably doesnt have filter dryer, sous video ,vac pump , and not to mention the coolers tough need pls Vac oven or chamber. Plus nitrogen extra lines and regulator ,filter paper some.filterplates to do it winterized the first run… I’m guessing with everything you need and all 2k nitro rest with everything you need to run caddilac…not to mention dry ice and if ur gonna crc plus powders…so maybe morr like 2500-3k for small 1-3 Lb system ready to run
That’s just guess though
Or open blast it w soup butane dry ice cold? For a dangerous method
A vac pump and a couple of buckets for hot and cold with some coffee filters is all you need to get going that’s extra.
All that is nice, but not needed to actually get a run done.
Yep for about the cost of a harvest right freeze dryer someone entering extraction can get a 5lb kit with a vac oven and have everything get to practicing safer and making good BHO. The waste during open blasting aside from safety isn’t sustainable for someone wanting to dial in making BHO to match quality meds people demand these days setting aside the big safety concern. Even people today seeking to get a start in retail grade or marketable black market solventless still have to sink more bread into decent wash bags, basic cold room coolbot rig, press, wash buckets just to get sustainable quality and yields to keep going. Still those outcomes in solventless are dependent on being able to select and have the availability of the right material for wash vs BHO.
No regrets on buying my first closed loop rig this year cost little bit over $3k and upgrading the 5lb build to a 10lb system with second hand components was still less than what it would have cost to build our dream of making a basic but quality solventless setup. Practicing with a closed loop sets you up for less failure, my worst outcome while learning was I had to pause midway through my first run and get more dry ice to finish recovery, the yield didnt drop, we didnt end up with something that was ruined to the standards of BHO, and we didnt throw away Butane in the process of learning, only result was we held more lipids in the output and we were able to add a Badder SKU to inventory.
Awesome open sourcery has made this part of the craft much safer and affordable for people wanting to learn and actually APPLY what they are learning.
if there’s something you can’t map out from the forum
call @StoneD about consulting
edit: you could build a 10lb closed loop rig secondhand for ~$2k even less these days. Some 1-3lb kits for less than 800 on facebook
I mean u could use glass dick and get the job done i just thought he said CLS
There was a very specific question asked:
And yes, it was about a closed loop system. I literally searched bvv and a few other sites. The 3-500 was directly from the prices listed for out of the box bare bones setups
You decided cls meant something else dood.
In my experience yes the lid always pops off I’ve never seen a jar break before but not saying it’s not possible if it warmed up to fast
Yes but dry ice is getting expensive I suggest a deep freezer explosion prof but meat freezers work for the trappers well
Hey I been having problems forming diamonds in mason jars lately and I brought the heat up to 140 to start melting it down into carts and it formed a huge diamond puck would I bring it back down to 85 or let it ride 140
