Ethanal is nuclear option for waxes lipids and fats
If you get Temps low enough you won’t even pull much of either

Yeah i learnt thay nugget very early lol, if you can go colder do it.

I was under impression the ethanol cleaned it up further without decarbonisation, i wasnt aware that terpenes are a catalyst for diamonds.

It will clean your terp profile out that’s forsure

Ok never mind lol I just went to check in the shed solvent all gone again. Top of jar swollen.

Smh.

are you putting it on heat try room temp… what ml did u seal it at… and what ml is it at now all the gas is gone

I’d try no heat and sounds like ur using to much solvent still…

if u want sugar you can place it on heat and it’ll happen pretty fast

Yeah I’m putting it on 85° as how it was recommended. Kinda stumped at this point I’ll try again without heat pad.

I’m doing this outside I’m my shed by the way maybe the California heat is affecting it.

I’m trying to get some small diamonds just personal stuff.

the right solvent amount really matter

for small diamonds u don’t need much maybe 5-10ml more than the oil that’s in your jar

elaborate on what it looks like when capping, where the line is compared to now, and is it cold when ur capping it?

You may be over tightening the lids. If you tighten them too much it starts to concave the sealing lid causing blowouts.

Hmm didnt know that. I am closing then pretty tight. Thinking that would do a good seal.

I think hes adding to much heat w to much head space, the gas is degassing and turning into a gas not liquid now trapped into the headspace… u need smaller jar for such small amount

and I would do no heat for first few days if not week to see if solvent stays without heat

u want a slow evaporation not a rapid one… the heat is causinf a rapid one bc to much head space

u have barely any oil in ur jar u need much more for some depth and smaller headspace

So I’m here still nothing is changing lol. It’s holding pressure but it looks the same.

A lil frustrating.

tell me a lil about ur starting material. was it fresh, old.

did you prefreeze the material on dry ice prior to loading into a column. did you cool your gas w dry ice also?

non CRC?

if u ran cold enough it will work just gonna take week or so especially bc it’s not deep enough in the jar for molecules to move faster

s

It was fresh cut trim frozen then blasted maybe about a qp of material the first time I froze the material followed everything you need to do before hand.

Sorry for late replies I work graveyard so I’m all over the place.

froze it on dry ice not in freezer right

do u have a filter drier , drying ur gas?

The color of the oil in the jar makes it look like it was older material or your not freezing cold enough. Or letting it warm up after freezing before the run

if it’s fresh they let the plant go till it was dying
