Sure, it has two tanks. the inject tank starts with the inject n2 pressure in the tank head space.The n2 pushes the liquid solvent for inject, after inject the n2 pressure in the tank blows the residual solvent out of the material column. After that occurs and inject is complete the systems pressure is around 5 psi. It climbs to around 15 psi as the collection pot and material column are heated via jacket to recover the solvent. The recovery manifold is valved to allow the flow to bypass the pump during the passive recovery part of the cycle, after 90% of the solvent is gone we go into “active mode”. To do this we close the pump bypass and turn of the air to the pump.The pump will scavange all the gas in the system and return it to the recovery tank causing the pressure to rise back up again to 60 psi.The recovery tank is chilled during the entire recovery cycle, and the solvent makes no pressure the only pressure is the n2 gas.After recovery the entire system and the tank that the solvent was injected from at sits at -27hg on the gauges. The tank that was recovered into sits at -75c with 60 psi of n2. The material column is isolated from the system, brought back to atmosphere, then unloaded and reloaded.After reloading the column a vacuum is pulled on the column, then the isolation valves are opened, the three way valves on the inject manifold reversed and the process starts again. At the end of the day when the last cycle is complete the already cold solvent tank can be burped off for storage and chiller shut off.Having the correct tank volume is key to running like that.
