Need Cheap and Effective Solution for Homogenizing 50L of Distillate

A little small…

Vevor is a good brand, right?

No I would go with SBPKMARSCT they are much more robust and cost effective saving $114.

Yes my intent is to take 30-50 1 liters jars of distillate and homogenize them into a highly homogenous blend.

The reason is because I simply cannot trust test results taken from the 1 liter jars during a bag-and-tag, because they take an equal quantity from each jar, creating a pseudo homogenous representation of the batch when they do the test. But if I don’t homogenize all of the oil together before breaking out into sub-formulations on my end, I run the risk of having a single jar that had a pesticide hot spot that can make that sub-formulation fail while the others pass. This single jar could have been diluted enough in the bag-and-tag test sample to show ND on the R&D for the oil, but when I mix 3-4 jars together for a sub batch could contain enough to fail that sub batch when I go to COA.

Just a heads up, that container you linked to is aluminum, not stainless

That’s fine. It’s food grade quality. Would work just as well as SS316 in my opinion but I was just providing some quick and easy examples. The blueprint has been laid out by myself and cyclopth for several cheap solutions for the OP.

Maybe something along these lines? Not sure how much it’ll save ya tho.

I love the creativity with spinning 55 gallon drums! I think @moronnabis question to @cyclopath needs revisiting.

In our testing, we found that simple stirring or agitation did not homogenize distillate and terpenes, even when heated. It may look homogenized but it is not. You will have uneven distribution of flavor compounds. There are many ways to address this, but I think I high-torque shear homogenizer is the way to go. Your quantities are not so small that you cannot afford a proper reactor and homogenizer, considering your volume. Its worth the investment anyway, for future projects or product lines.

Maybe a used version of something like this:

Edit:

This is concerning. You should test all input material and if bought something hot with pesticides, you need to address the seller. This applies to legacy and especially true in legal markets. If you were unknowingly sold bunk, get your money back! If you can’t, I hope you learned a valuable lesson for next time and find a new supplier. Don’t punish the consumer by selling them watered down pesticides.

The 55 gal drum is just for heating.

One disorients the cannabis in a wild caught or free range keg.
