I was shaking out of frustration when it happened, my partner just went on about cleaning up the mess while I shook and said fuck 100x :joy:

I’ve contact the company to see what a new main body is gunna cost cause I assume getting some glass blower, utilizing the coil and bottom, in North America to make me a new one is gunna cost way more than ordering a whole body from the company in China; I haven’t heard anything back yet though.

Anyone have an idea of what just a main body is gunna run me?

Did you clean the system with it sealed?

I didnt read this thread but that’s what im guessing

@Kingofthekush420 Yeah it was sealed, only the outer jacket not that it matters :man_facepalming:t2: but the ambient temperature of the fluid inside of the jacket got too high without releasing pressure and she went boom… actually she was releasing pressure cause it started to leak and my partner tightened the fitting to stop the degreaser from escaping… :boom:

Ahhhh so the fluid in the jacket did it, I thought you were running ethanol through her to clean her sealed, that’ll do the same thing.

Always vent your wiper when you clean with a solvent

Haha ALWAYS :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: I knew the vapour would add to the pressure. I was cleaning burnt silicone oil that wasn’t cleaned up right away and the higher the temp of the cleaning fluid the better it works… I shoulda just kept cleaning it open on the back of the pickup or left it to sit for a day or two to eat away slower… lesson learned - even though I already fucking near it would happen :man_facepalming:t2::man_facepalming:t2:

Ahaha everyone should most definitely have a “something fucked up” budget. The cheapest quote I’ve received for a new replacement is 9k cad plus freight… which is fucking ridiculous

We can probably salvage the coils and some of the bottom portion. If we are able to recover those pieces easily then the cost for repair could be reasonable.
Just ballpark from the picture I would say 5k, and only if the parts weren’t able to be recovered at all would it be in the 9k range.
