I think I managed to find a source of AlCL3.
How long would you do the reaction for? 15 minutes like the paper sais, or?
Quenching - ice, ice,ice? Exotherm?
I will be renting a lab - and responsible waste disposal is included in the price ![]()
I also believe there is a difference between doing experiments in 100ml beakers with magnetic stirring and a rector. I believe my results in DCM at RT (which are very good) would not be reproducible in a reactor. The volume to magnet ratio is very low, so it is receiving a hell load more of kinetic energy.
I dont think such agitation would be possible in a reactor.
Listen making it is easy
Keeping it is the art
It s tedious and reagent intensive
Trust me you are better of buying the answers
Either @Zzzeko23 or @EagleChem
I would recomend
There are far better route s with non pyrophoric reagents that are in the papers you can ask @RockSteady
For those
Have messaged them,
AlCl3 I havenβt really considered, although the paper I read looks promising
I want to see the maximum I can get out of pTSA first.
Chemistry is an expensive hobby I must say, but Its a lot of fun ![]()
Magnesium?
Zinc?
