its actually 2ppm for vitamin e acetate. 0.5ppm is the limit for paclo. had em mixed up

Bro their limit for microbials out here is 0. If you have one CFU of aspergillus, they fail you.

Geebus! WTF is going on out there. You can’t just “see a peak” and think that its relevant… there are so many other things it could be. I’d have to tell that lab to go fuck right off and not let them touch my stuff again.
Just because you “can” put something in a tube… and you can get a chromatogram and you can see peaks… doesn’t mean you should assign those peaks any value at all unless you have validated your method using standards and your instrument is calibrated appropriately for what you are looking for.
And it should always be repeatable.
Also - since they are fucking this up so royally… they probably have some background issues, with carryover from other samples. But since they thought they could give you information about a peak without having any accuracy to what it is - how could we hope that they would have done these other necessary things… and how could we ever hope that the results they are reporting would be precise…
Also - there is a FCC and a USP monograph for testing vitamin e acetate and other Vitamin E biosimilars. So its not like they have to reinvent the wheel here. And there’s an entire set of vaping tests that look for vitamin e acetate - with method standardization for nicotine vaporizing products. All looking for the same stuff - with different starting materials. Standards are also readily available from Sigma and USP - and when I say readily available I mean you can have it drop shipped to your fucking house. x.X
So lab just being all full of bullshit. Don’t have access to standards yet, will get them in some weeks/months or whenever they decide to actually do their damn jobs. If the test goes live in October - they should already BE VALIDATING - which means their R&D needs to be finished, methods should already exist, calibrations performed, analysts trained, and no more of this fuckery allowed. -RAWR-
