You guys have so much good idea.
Valentines day is right around the corner
I wonder if I could make a cucumber grow into the shape of a dick, veins and balls and all
I think really good produce speaks loud enough. Bonsai kittens was a joke. Veiny penii sounds better. Sorry for the derail?
don’t blow my heart shaped sugar baby watermelon
play…
Probably
You got this bruddah
From some quick research, one company outside Portland Or is selling direct to consumer, $25 for 4oz, every two week delivery. One 10"x20" tray can produce 2+ ounces, every two weeks. Take a 3k sq ft greenhouse, and put 2k trays, even at $12/lb wholesale, is pretty good numbers.
You know that certain banks in italy require you to secure a loan with a block of fresh parmeganio reggiano and they keep that block in perfect cheese aging conditions in an underground vault?
The cheese accrues value.
Remember that.
Never fucking forget that.
The cheese.
Accrues.
Amen.
When people talk about microgreens business they are talking about growing microgreens. They are completely missing a large portion of the business.
It’s just like what crashed the hemp market when everyone did it. They came to market but had no way to sell them. There’s also the ability to find and deliver them to the consumer.
That’s what I want to see people discuss in this thread.
If you build it they will come.
Working on a customer base without a way to show your work is gonna be fruitless
I completely agree. Farmers can and will over produce all types of crops. It almost should be a
70/30 split of time. 70% on marketing and sales and 30% or less on the growing. Most farmers just enjoy the growing part.
For 25 years we had a fresh cut family farm and did 9 farmers markets per week, and 30-40 weddings a year, while growing on about 10 acres. A lot of work, very rewarding, but most money went to labor.
I dont understand, mind giving another example?
Wow, I wasn’t even thinking about a 3k sq ft space. Can one person run a green house of that size?
My god great numbers, I did the math and thats 48k every 2 weeks.
Shiitttt
on this microgreens i think you use vertical growing racks. And once you setup the watering it kinda grows itself with microgreens.
I found something like this,Amazon.com
What lights are you guys using for your racks?
